HIFU Vaginal Tightening
Laser vs HIFU Vaginal Tightening
Laser vaginal tightening is a method that uses laser pulses to perforate the skin signalling the surrounding area to “repair itself” or become “tighter”. With the laser treatment, the head of the laser must be placed inside the vagina, which is typically more painful than using HIFU since HIFU is mainly used to lift and tone the outside surface of the vagina (the labia majora and minora). The laser treatment is typically a quicker treatment process, since it cannot be used to treat the outside of the vagina, with most patients requiring 3-4 sessions between 1 month intervals.
The laser treatment requires a up to 3 days of recovery and downtime in comparison to using HIFU, which has no down time and patients can resume sexual activity the same
