What is HIFU Skin Tightening?
HIFU is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that lifts and tightens the skin within the face and body. High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) energy bypasses the superficial layers of the skin until reaching a target focal point, and generating therapeutic temperatures of 60-65°C. This stimulates a re-modelling process to occur, with the formation of new visoelastic collagen that causes a lifting of the deep dermal and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layers of the skin.
How does the HIFU Treatment Work?Over time, collagen fibers begin to lose elasticity, which in turn causes the skin to lose its firmness and start to sag. The SF HIFU Med is unmatched by other non-invasive cosmetic devices, with its ability to treat the tissues usually addressed during surgical procedures. Using ultra-sound waves, the superficial muscular aponeurotic system is targeted. The tissues are heated to a range between 60-70˚C and the natural wound healing process is stimulated to create new collagen and elastin. The system is a non-invasive ultrasound focusing technique. The ultrasonic energy is delivered deep within the skin and causes a thermal reaction. Heat will directly focus on the fascia and muscle layers. The technology specifically targets the SMAS, and thus, collagen production is stimulated and the process of tissue regeneration begins. This causes tightening and lifting of the skin and tissues, resulting in a lifted appearance and a tightened feeling throughout the face and body. |
